A Program that puts Newspapers into the Classrooms as Learning Tools
• Tests have shown that students who read the newspaper on a regular basis score higher on standardized tests of reading comprehension, vocabulary and writing.
• Newspapers in the classrooms teach students about their community and foster civic awareness.
We start taking applications for free newspapers in August each school year.
