The Board of Land and Natural Resources deferred consideration Friday of granting an easement in concept for a biofuel pipeline at Hilo Harbor.
The board deferred the request because representatives of the applicant, Hoku Kai Biofuels, were not present to answer questions, said a spokeswoman for the Department of Land and Natural Resources.
DLNR staff are requesting the issue be placed on the March 28 meeting agenda.
