“Purifying Refuge & Accumulating Virtues Cultivation,” a webcast teaching and practice session with Lama Namnang Mingjo Dorje Rinpoche, will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Hayagriva Dharma Center in Hilo. It is open to all levels of experience in Buddhism. Beginners are encouraged to attend. Hayagriva is at 586 Kanoelehua Ave. No. 4. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
The rinpoche is the lineage holder of the Nagavara Raja Buddhist Lineage. This is a rare opportunity to be guided by and receive the blessings and direct experience in Buddhist practice from an accomplished Buddhist master and yogi.

“Mingjo Rinpoche will be guiding students in a special practice that can help students of all levels develop a direct connection to the pure qualities and blessings of the Buddha,” said Ohara. “This practice will help students understand the purity, determination, spirit and resolve of Buddha Shakyamuni.
“Students can experience an awakening in their own hearts and be inspired by the preciousness of the Buddhist path. Awakening with reverence, gratitude and inspiration can result in a deep transformation, increasing auspiciousness and positive qualities,” she said. “Rinpoche is teaching a method that can merge these positive qualities, called ‘virtues,’ into a path leading to ultimate happiness.”
