Chinese New Year Keiki Fashion Show is Feb. 8
Keiki, from infants to age 12, are invited to join the 12th annual Hilo Chinese New Year Festival Keiki Fashion Show at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Kalakaua Park in downtown Hilo.
This show is a chance for all young people to show their Chinese outfits and embrace the culture.
While not required, it is recommended children who plan to enter the fashion show be familiar with their Chinese Zodiac sign and learn what they can about the Year of the Horse beforehand.
Signups are being taken at crib., a children’s consignment store and gift boutique at 46 Waianuenue Ave.
Contact Sesha at crib. at 339-7515 for more information about the show. Last day to sign up is Friday, Feb. 7.
The festival festivities begin 10 a.m. and last until 3 p.m. There will be food and craft vendors, live entertainment, information booths, live martial arts demonstrations, lion dance performance and a fireworks show.
The event is free to the public, brought to you by community sponsors, organized by the Downtown Improvement Association.
