Hilo acupuncturist raising funds for international medical outreach

Scott Lee, R.N., L. Ac., master of acupuncture and Oriental medicine, will once again donate 100 percent of the cost of acupuncture treatments for local residents to International Medical Relief, a nonprofit medical relief organization based near Denver that provides medical, dental and surgical care to multiple under-served communities around the world.

Lee just returned from his second medical mission last year, having served in Cambodia in December and India in June. During his first medical mission to a group of villages outside of Delhi, India, Lee and the IMR team provided treatments to 2,500 patients during a one-week period.

Lee has practiced in Hilo for more than 20 years. He will provide acupuncture treatments at a reduced rate of $50 per session. Coupons are available for purchase at $50 per treatment and are 100 percent tax deductible, as payment is made directly to International Medical Relief.

Call Leilani Bronson at 557-0907 for more information. For more about IMR, visit www.internationalmedicalrelief.org.
