Hilo Public Library Friends thankful for Spring Sale success
Once again, the Hilo Public Library Friends want to thank everyone who made our recent Spring Sale a great success.
Books/CDs/DVDs/VHS videos/record albums/magazines donated to the library throughout the year made their way to the sale, and were greatly appreciated by all.
The hard work was provided by: Hilo Public Library staff/Altres Staffing/Aloha Security Guards and the energy (much needed) after school by the Hilo High School Leo Club.
At the end of a three-and-a-half-day sale, the Friends made $7,000 that will go directly to Hilo Public Library to help fund all the activities that make Hilo Public Library the second-most used and appreciated library in the state of Hawaii.
And a big “mahalo” goes to all of our patrons who come to the sale and enjoy our efforts to continue to provide books to share.
When all is said and done, that’s what keeps us going!
