Holiday hours set at libraries
In observance of the Christmas Day holiday, all public libraries will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25.
On Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24, all public libraries that normally have evening hours on Tuesdays will offer special hours.
On the Big Island, this includes Pahala, which will be open to patrons 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1-5 p.m.; Keaau, from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Naalehu, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Hilo and Kailua-Kona, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
All libraries will again be closed New Year’s Day, and the holiday schedule for New Year’s Eve will follow the Christmas Eve hours at these five Big Island libraries.
Visit the HSPLS website at www.librarieshawaii.org, or call your local library for more information.
