Palace Theater gets grant
The Friends of the Palace Theater extends a warm mahalo to the Anderson-Beck ‘Kokua a Ulu Fund’ for its generous donation of $3,000 toward general operating and programming expenses for 2014.
“We have been very fortunate to have the support of such dedicated and committed community members,” said Friends of the Palace Theater board president Wendy Peskin. “This year, the Palace has something for everybody — concerts, ballet, hula, classical rock, reggae and musical productions, such as the May Variety Show and the annual Fall Musical, showcasing Hilo’s outstanding talent. These ‘aloha –filled’ experiences offer our community broad cultural diversity and creative inspiration for all ages.”
