This photograph from the Lyman Museum’s John Howard Pierce Photography Collection, No. 20609, was first published in the Aug. 13, 2016, edition of the Tribune-Herald. Pictured are dancers, from left, Charlotte Aina, Faith Calles and Bratinella Cuaresma, with band members, from left, Maile Pohaku, Robert Tripp, or Mr. Pohaku, and Edith Kanaka‘ole. The photo was captured Jan. 17, 1965, during Aloha Week near Moku Ola before a new bridge was built.
