Sierra Club to discuss TMT, more tonight
The Moku Loa Chapter of the Sierra Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. today for its monthly meeting at the Keaau Community Center.
Members will discuss the Thirty Meter Telescope, waste-to-energy plans for the Big Island, trails in jeopardy and other issues. A potluck dinner will be followed by the business meeting at 6 p.m.
“Please support zero waste by bringing your own plate, cup and utensils,” said spokeswoman Cory Harden. For more information, call Harden at 959-7747. The community center is behind the Keaau Police Station and the HFS Credit Union. The public is invited.
