Fire destroys Humuula cabins

A fire early Friday morning destroyed two cabins and damaged a Quonset hut at Humuula sheep station off Saddle Road, according to a written Fire Department statement.

Eight units from the Army’s Pohakuloa Training Area and Kaumana Fire Station responded to the 1:03 a.m. alarm.

The buildings were unoccupied and the fire was extinguished without incident.

There was no damage estimate and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
