Hawaii coffee industry to gather for strategic planning
Coffee farmers, processors, roasters, wholesalers, retailers and all other industry stakeholders are invited to a two-day strategic planning session Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28 and March 1, at the Sheraton Kona Resort &Spa.
“The planning session will design the future of Hawaii’s coffee industry,” said Greg Stille, Hawaii Coffee Association president. “It will explore the industry’s potentials and address its challenges.”
Donna R. Ching of the University of Hawaii at Manoa will facilitate the sessions. Times are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Fee is $100 and includes daily continental breakfast, lunch and all supplies. Event sponsors include the Hawaii Coffee Association, the Kona Coffee Council, the Maui Coffee Association and the Hawaii Coffee Growers Association. Register at www.hawaiicoffeeassociation.com.
The Hawaii Coffee Association’s mission is to represent all sectors of the Hawaii coffee industry, including growers, millers, wholesalers, roasters and retailers. A major component of HCA’s work is the continuing education of members and consumers.
