Hawaii Opera Theatre visits Waimea on Sunday
Enjoy the perfect opportunity to experience classical opera when the Hawaii Opera Theatre visits Kahilu Theatre at 6 p.m. Sunday in Waimea.
The concert will feature six tremendous singers: Leslie “Buz” Tennent, Kaweo Kanoho, Erik Haines, Mary Chesnut Hicks, Kate Sarff and Shelly Breneman.
They will be accompanied by HOT Associate Musical Director and pianist Beebe Freitas.
The first half of the concert will feature many great operatic hits including selections from “Carmen,” “La Boheme,” “I Pagliacci,” “The Pearl Fishers” and others. The second half of the program will feature favorites from operetta and Broadway, including “Les Miserables,” “My Fair Lady” and “Porgy and Bess.”
