KAANAPALI, Maui (AP) — An Arizona man died after being pulled from a beach in west Maui.
Police said 60-year-old Greg Eveloff of Scottsdale was swimming in the waters near the Sheraton Resort in Kaanapali on Saturday when he experienced difficulties. Eveloff lost consciousness as he was being brought to shore.
Rescuers gave him CPR, but he died at the scene.
Authorities say an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.
