Philomena “Nina” Alcain Arnise, 82, of Kailua-Kona died March 27 at home. Born in Keei, she was a housewife, coffee farmer and member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Honaunau. Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Survived by husband, Frank Arnise Sr. of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Francine (Kippy) King of Clearwater, Fla.; son, Freddy (Sawan) Arnise of Spring, Texas; brothers, Roger (Linda) Alcain of Captain Cook, Greg Alcain of Kealakekua, Benjamin (Barbara) Alcain of Pleasanton, Calif., and Andres (Olena) Alcain of Napoopoo; sisters, Lucina Alcain and Norma Duterte of Napoopoo, Andrea Alcain of Ocean View; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Theresa Marie Nye, 72, of Honaunau died April 8 at home. Born in Detroit, she was a homemaker. Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at Bible First Mission Church in Captain Cook. Survived by husband, Laurence Nye of Honaunau; sons, Angelo (Julie Wall) Nye of Captain Cook and Zachary (Minerva) Nye of Honaunau; daughters, Jenessa Nye of Ventura, Calif., and Sophia (Michael) Shinal of Westfield, N.J.; four grandchildren. Yolanda Vez “Mama” Iyeke, 64, of Pahoa died April 5 at home. Born in the Philippines, she was a cook for the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. Visitation 2-4 p.m. Monday (April 17) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Service at 4 p.m. Casual attire. Cremation to follow. Survived by husband, Francis Odigie Iyeke of Pahoa; sons, Joseph Vez Iyeke of Virginia and Lucky Okoromi Iyeke of Maryland; daughters, Kelly Ann Iyeke of Virginia and Aimeho Vez Iyeke of Pahoa; brothers, Ireneo Torres Ellorin, Santiago Torres Ellorin Jr. and Angelito Torres Ellorin of the Philippines; sisters, Concepcion Ellorin Tolentino, Evangeline Torres Ellorin, Marilyn Ellorin Crisostomo, Lilibeth Ellorin Manzano and Susana Ellorin Tandoc of the Philippines; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
