Born in Ahualoa, she was a retired nut sorter with the former Hawaiian Holiday Macadamia Nut company and member of Honokaa Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Anna Geraldine “Totie” Kailiawa George, 52, of Pahala died June 4 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahala, she was a child welfare services resource caregiver, worked at American Guard Services, Mac Farms Macadamia Nut factory, Kai farms in Pahala and Punaluu Black Sands Restaurant, and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Pahala. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker who previously was self-employed at Hilo-Kona Carpets, volunteered at Hilo Moose Lodge, MooseHeart and MooseHaven, an alaka‘i and hula dancer for George Naope, member of the Kamauloa O Ka Malamalama Church in Kurtistown, president of the Participant Council at Hawaii Island Adult Care and member of the Pana‘ewa Senior Club.
