Masaichi “Masa” Fukushima, 68, of Captain Cook died May 26 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honaunau, he was a coffee and macadamia nut farmer and was retired from KTA Kailua-Kona. Services held. No koden (monetary gifts). Survived by sisters, Matsuno Katz of Las Vegas and Sanae (Sueto) Matsumura of Kealakekua; brothers, Katsuyoshi Fukushima and Koichi (Joan) Fukushima of Captain Cook, John (Betty) Fukushima of North Carolina; an uncle, an aunt, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Roselani “Nani” Heneralau, 68, of Kailua-Kona died May 13 at home. Born in Hilo, she was a retired baker at the Keauhou and Kailua-Kona KTA stores, a presser at the former Kona Dry Cleaning, coffee picker, proprietor of Rose’s Child Care, volunteer for the March of Dimes and member of American Business Women’s Association. Visitation noon Friday, June 27, at the family’s home. Celebration of life 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at OTEC Beach in Kailua-Kona. For information, call Joshleen Baker at 333-5919. Carol “Rita” (Iranon) McCabe, 78, of Hilo died June 4 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Pepeekeo, she was a homemaker. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Monday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Prayer service at 7 p.m. Graveside committal service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Casual attire. Survived by husband, Howard “Mac” McCabe of Hilo; sons, James Moniz and Kenneth Moniz of Hilo; daughter-in-law, Charmaine (Willie) Moniz of California; brothers, George (Pat) Iranon of Honolulu and Phillip (Susan) Iranon of Hilo; sisters, Angie Menor of Honolulu, Nancy (Bonafacio) Defiesta of Kaneohe, Oahu, Jackie Indreginal of Wahiawa, Oahu, and Connie Glorioso of Florida; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Catherine Clark Wible, 71, of Pahoa died June 12 at home. Born in Washington, she was a housewife. No services. Survived by sons, Mike Becerril and Joe Becerril; daughters, Jennifer Wible, Pamela Engman and Diana Becerril; one grandson. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
Valentina Lorenzo is survived by, among others, daughter Veronica Dalao Carvalho. Her name was incorrect in an obituary published Tuesday.
