Jesus “John” Marcos Bartolome, 68, of Pahoa died May 29 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Banna, Ilocos Norte, Philippines; he was a retired proprietor and farmer. Visitation 5-9 p.m. Friday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again at the chapel 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday. Service at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Survived by wife, Estrella Bartolome of Pahoa; son, Gilbert Bartolome of Pahoa; daughters, Marylou (Romy) Bartolome Laeda of Hilo and Elisa (Edmund) Manning of Las Vegas; brothers, Daniel (Margarita) Bartolome of Pahoa and Florencio (Leticia) Bartolome of Las Vegas; hanai sister, Cecilia Marcos of Keaau; five grandchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Sadie Sadae Fujii, 91, of Hilo formerly of Honolulu, died May 12 at home. Born in Hanapepe, Kauai, she was a retired keypunch supervisor for University of Hawaii at Manoa and worked for the National Security Agency in Maryland. Services held. Survived by son, Brian K. (Linda) Fujii of Villa Rica, Ga.; daughters, Janice K. “Jan” Nakahara of Hilo, Charlene T. (Wayne) Mizumoto of Honolulu and Connie M. (Clifford) Calantoc of Waipahu, Oahu; brother, Ronald (Carol) Mizobe of California; sister, Kay Mizobe of Oahu; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
Delansey “Dee” Juan Gacuzana, 70, of Keaau died May 31 at home. Born in Opihikao, he was maintenance chief at a Waikiki hotel and Shriner’s Hospital in Honolulu, retired businessman, private pilot, inventor, sky diver and musician. Services held. Survived by son, Darin Cy Gacuzana of Atlanta; sister, Maring Gacusana of Pahoa; brothers, Wendell Gacusana and Melvin Gacusana of Hilo; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Robert Hamora, 85, of Kukuihaele died June 14 at home. Born in Kalopa, he was a retired harvesting supervisor for the former Paauhau Sugar Co., member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Urn committal to follow at church cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by daughters, Jo Ann (Milton) Lau Kong of Kukuihaele, Sheila (Larry) Vicente of Honokaa, Margo Godbehere of Kapaa, Kauai, and Patricia (John) Chiapetta of Virgie, Ken.; sons, Russel (Serena) Botelho Sr. of Hilo and Lee Alan (Jean) Hamora of Beaverton, Ore.; brothers, Rudy (Betsy) Miguel of Kihei, Maui, Lawrence (Tao) Miguel of Wailuku, Maui, Benjamin (Terry) Marquez of Hilo, Eugene Marquez, Jimmy Hamora and Danny Hamora of Kona; sisters, Betty (Al) Rodrigues of Anchorage, Alaska, Elsie Miguel of San Diego, Loretta (Alfred) Romo of Lahaina, Maui, and Rose (Richard) Tribble of Long Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Orman “Bud” Archie Hon, 85, of Hilo died June 15 at home. Born in Denver, he was a retired manufacturer representative. No services. Survived by wife, Barbara Hon of Hilo; sons, David Hon of Layton, Utah, Kenneth (Cheryl Gansecki) Hon of Hilo and Larry (Diana Talcott) Hon of Portland, Ore.; sister, Erna Lou Pyle of Denver; two granddaughters.
