Charles L. Bauguess Jr., 64, of Mountain View, died Oct. 2. He was born on Oahu. A celebration of life with refreshments afterward will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, by the pier in Pohoiki. Survived by sons, Charles (Sunny) Bauguess III and Jason Bauguess; daughter, Mindy Bauguess; brothers, Louie (Nina) Bauguess and Richard Bauguess; sister, Paulina Bauguess; six grandchildren. Felix Larry Galario, 83, of Pahoa died Oct. 10 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired laboratory analyst, an employee of Hakalau Sugar Mill and Hilo Coast Processing and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Services at 9 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 18) at Connect Point Church, 168 Holomua St. in Hilo. Graveside service to follow at noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 in Hilo. Margie K. Milar-Hanselman, 77, of Hilo died Sept. 9 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Honolulu, she retired as the law library clerk with the state Judiciary, was director of the annual Merrie Monarch Parade, Pa‘u Unit, a member of the Hawaii Government Employees Association and a delegate and judge for various cooking contests. Visitation from 6-9 p.m. Friday (Oct. 20) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; service at 7 p.m. Visitation again from 9-11 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 21) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Survived by sons, George (Glenna) Hanselman and Shane (Alisa) Hanselman of Hilo; brother, Pedro Haui (Iris Oda) Milar of Hilo; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Wendell David Serrao, 76, of Hilo died Oct. 5 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired tax collector with the state of Hawaii, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo and the supervisory committee of the HFS Federal Credit Union, the financial secretary for the Young Men’s Institute and member of the Ancient Order of Foresters, Court Mauna Kea No. 8854. Visitation from 8-8:30 a.m. Friday (Oct. 20) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. followed by urn committal services at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Erlinda Serrao of Hilo; son, Jonathan A. (Sherry) Villena of Hilo; daughter, Wendi Serrao (Christopher) Villa of Volcano; brother, Norbert (Erma) Serrao of Pahoa; three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
