Obituary for September 2

Alice Kazue Yamaguchi, 90, of Waimea, died Aug. 22 at home. Born in Hollister, Calif., she was a retired cashier for the former Sure Save Supermarket in Waimea. Services held. No flowers. Survived by son, Craig (Carol) Yamaguchi of Waimea; brothers, James (Frances) Yoshiyama of Fremont, Calif., and Andy (Kathie) Yoshiyama of Monterey Park, Calif.; sisters, Grace (Haruo) Kasai of Fremont and Patricia Hori of Seaside, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

The late Michael Shawn Whitener is survived by, among others, son, Jamie Robison of Kailua-Kona. His name wasn’t submitted for an obituary published Wednesday.

The late Joseph W.L. Whitney is survived by, among others, daughter, Heide Whitney of California. Her name wasn’t submitted for an obituary published Thursday.
