    Donald Alvin Swangel, 86, of Riverside, Calif., and formerly of Hawaiian Ocean View Estates, died Oct. 25 at home. Born in Montezuma, Iowa, he operated the Leilani Bed and Breakfast in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates with his wife for nine years. Survived by wife, Carole; children, Marcia Derrick, Michael (Cora) Swangel, Judy (Don) Richards, Robert (Dagmar) Reeves, David (Dorene) Reeves, Lani (Mundus) Lomeli and Roy (Aida) Swangel; brother, Paul (Hazel) Swangel of New Sharon, Iowa; 28 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.     Chiyoko Yagi, 89, of Hilo, died Oct. 31 at Hospice of Hilo’s Pohai Malama facility. Born in Hilo, she was retired auditor with the state Department of Taxation. Visitation from 5-6 p.m. Friday at Kinoole Baptist Church in Hilo (1815 Kinoole St.). Memorial service at 6 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers. No koden (monetary offerings). Survived by sons, Alan (Joanne) Yagi of Hilo and Calvin Yagi of Hilo; daughters, Janice Sheldon of Riverside, Calif., and Clarice (Stephen) Kaneshiro of Wailuku, Maui; brother, Paul (Mitsuko) Oshiro of Honolulu; sisters, Kikue Shimabukuro of Los Angeles and Natsuko Aoki of Kealakekua, Yoshino Chung of Gardena, Calif., and Doris Onishi of Hilo; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Graveside services will be held at noon Nov. 10 at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona.
