‘SAVING HUBBLE’ SNEAK PREVIEW

Details: ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center will have a sneak preview showing of “Saving Hubble,” a new independent documentary film directed by David Gaynes, who will answer questions. Admission.

SASANA: THE BURMA PORTFOLIO 

Where: Lyman Museum, Hilo 

When: 10 a.m. Sept. 7 

Details: Journey deep into Burma and experience a Buddhist culture rich in tradition and history. The special exhibit Sasana (acts of kindness) is a collection of large-format black and white photographs taken between 2006-2011 by Dr. Steven Garon, a volunteer with Aloha Medical Mission. On display through Jan. 12.
