LA’A KA PA-KAPALA, SACRED THE RHYTHMS AND PATTERNS 

Where: VAC Gallery, HVNP 

When: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. March 2-April 14 

Details: A collaborative exhibit by Natalie Mahina Jensen and Lucia Tarallo, featuring acrylic paintings depicting the Hawaii Maoli’s penchant for sacred geometry. The paintings serve to illustrate the newly interpreted nature chant kumulipo titled “Kane Keia! Wahine Kela! (Male This! Female That!)” Opening reception March 2 at 5 p.m. Free and open to the public, although park entrance fees apply.

HAWAII PHOTO EXPO ENTRIES SOUGHT

Details: The Hawaii Photo Expo is now accepting digital entries for the 14th annual competition and exhibit to be presented at Wailoa Center in June. ‘THE UNTOLD STORY’
