Fitness flood 

The number of fitness classes in various genres has skyrocketed, dominating the HTH Saturday Calendar. To allow a wider variety of happenings a chance to be printed, we’ve put a temporary hold on most fitness classes.

FREE PRESENTATION OF THE TARA APPROACH

POLITICS IN FILMS

Details: The second session features “Milk,” a 2008 film starring Sean Penn as Harvey Milk, the openly gay San Francisco politician who was assassinated in office. Film depicts his determined, grassroots run for office. The subsequent trial of his killer raised the famous “Twinkie” defense. CAROUSEL OF ALOHA ‘INTRO TO CARVING’

Details: The Carousel of Aloha Pavilion and Park is a project of Paradise Ponies Inc., a 501(c)3 non profit organization. The Carousel of Aloha will be the state’s first permanent, Hawaii-themed, hand-carved carousel. This workshop is open to all. Attendees will carve a piece that will become part of the project. Bring your tools, or use those provided. Experience is not necessary. Fee is $30.

CLASS ABOUT BOATING SAFETY

Details: Learn to be safe on the water and to make sure all your passengers are safe as well. Within the next two years a Boating Safely Certificate will be required to register and license your boats. Beat the rush.
