KOREA VETERANS – MIA AND POW CEREMONY 

Where: Okutsu Veterans Home, next to Hilo Medical center

Details: After a short meeting, a flag presentation will honor family of MIA Pfc. Fernando Rivera Jr. and POW veteran Hisashi Morita, who served in the Korean War.

HILO PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB 

Where: Kamana Senior Center 

When: 7 p.m. March 20 

Details: Monthly meeting will be a review of member photos taken with mobile phones. From a different point of photographic view, Dr. Steven Garon will discuss his black-and-white photographs, which are traditional darkroom silver prints. Garon travels to Burma yearly on a medical mission, and also documents the country’s temples and people with his 4X5 camera. Free.
