Purple symbolizes all branches of the military. Purple Up! acts as a visible way to show support and thank military youth for their strength and sacrifices. 15TH ANNUAL PLANT SALE AT PANAEWA RAINFOREST ZOO
Where: Entrance circle to Panaewa Rainforest Zoo and Equestrian Center, above Highway 11, Hilo
When: 8 a.m. May 5
Details: Friends of the Zoo presents 15th annual plant sale just in time for Mother’s Day. Varieties including Vireya, Bamboo, Palms, Fruit trees, Water Garden plants and Orchids will be available from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Also, Master Gardeners will have fruit fly traps and Friends of the Zoo will have coffee and donuts for sale. No admission fee.
