Details: The public is invited to the 40th Annual Ho‘oku‘ikahi Establishment Day Hawaiian Cultural Festival. Here is the schedule for the free event: Saturday, 6:30-10 a.m., the opening ho‘okupu, or gift-giving, ceremony and warrior exhibitions and pageantry; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., cultural demonstrations, traditional crafts, Hawaiian food tasting, canoe rides, games, music and more.
