3,000 laulau, and counting

As its annual fundraising event, the ohana of Honokaa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple assembled, then sold, 3,000 laulau on Sunday at the temple.

Prior to the sale, members, family and friends from the community spent an intense week preparing what was reportedly the largest batch of lau lau in the world.

Here, some of the volunteers are seen working together to create the tasty Hawaiian delicacy.
