Bank donates to Hilo Habitat
HomeStreet Bank’s Hilo Mortgage Manager Angie Warren recently presented a $5,000 corporate donation to Julie Hugo, president of Hilo Habitat for Humanity, to support affordable housing in East Hawaii.
The presentation was made at the Building Community Expo/Walk. The money will be used to help Hilo Habitat build its 11th home. Also participating in the ceremony were some of Hilo Habitat’s board members: Pastor John Trusdell of Living Waters Assembly of God Church, Eric Scicchitano of HPM Building Supply, and Randy Church of HomeStreet Bank.
Hilo Habitat also operates a discounted and recycled building materials at its ReStore at 700 Manono St. in Hilo.
