Bring holiday cheer to homeless keiki
Project Hawaii Inc., a nonprofit all-volunteer organization is planning its 12th annual holiday Christmas party to help those living in poverty across the island.
“With less than a week away, we are still seeking volunteers, sponsors and donors to help make this year’s party a success,” said founder Magin Patrick. “We’re still missing some of the key ingredients to provide over 350 keiki with holiday cheer, and we need the community’s support.
“The party is complete with ‘Santa & Me’ photos, games, crafts and, of course, a hot nutritious holiday meal, helping them to escape their everyday worries and enjoy the wonders of the holiday, if for just one night,” said Patrick. “You make the difference in their precious lives.
“All donations are welcome, from $7 to provide a healthy meal for a child, to $15 to fill a stocking or $20, which will provide a holiday gift from Santa,” she said. “Company sponsorships towards the holiday meal, games and make-and-take crafts also are needed. Names will be posted on party banners, newsletters and website: $250 for main dish, $125 for a side, $150 for a craft, and $100 for game prizes.
Tax-deductible donations can be sent to Project Hawaii Inc., P.O. Box 1844, Keaau, HI 96749. For more details, please visit www.HelptheHomelessKeiki.org.
