Cop on Top to raise funds for Special Olympics
Fundraiser for Special Olympics
Local law enforcement officials will go above and beyond the call of duty as they rise to the challenge of raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics Hawaii’s 12th annual Cop on Top fundraiser from Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 12-14, around the state.
On the Big Island, Cop on Top will be held at the Walmart stores in Hilo and Kailua-Kona.
Police officers will spend their off-duty time making themselves at home around the clock atop 14-foot scaffolding, eating, sleeping and raising funds for Special Olympics athletes across the state.
