Course focuses on fundraising


The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Aloha Chapter is bringing the “Fundamentals of Fundraising” course to Hawaii Island. This 16-hour course will be distributed into four days of instruction for four hours each day.

The course is developed with a foundation from the AFP Essentials of Fundraising Program and is composed of seven modules designed by experienced fundraising professionals to meet the real-world needs and challenges nonprofit organizations are facing today. The course includes case studies and projects for groups and individuals.

The course will take place at North Hawaii Community Hospital at 67-1125 Mamalahoa Highway in Waimea. The dates and times of the course are as follows: Friday, Oct. 4, 8 a.m. to noon; Thursday, Oct. 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 8, noon to 4 p.m.; Thursday, Nov. 21, 8 a.m. to noon.
