Credit Union awards scholarships
HFS Federal Credit Union recently awarded seven scholarships of $2,500 each to credit union members pursuing their goals of higher education.
The scholarships recognize academic excellence, personal and career goals, financial need, and community involvement.
This year’s recipients are: Zena Kiyota (Waiakea High School), Christina Chow (Keaau High School), Owen Sandstrom (Waiakea High School), Natcha Srivichai (Pahoa High School), Kellie Iwasaki (Waiakea High School), Dallas Tada (Kamehameha Schools Hawaii) and Mahealani Yoshida (Konawaena High School).
“HFS Federal Credit Union is proud to support the educational goals of the students in our community and we wish these students the best of luck in their educational endeavors,” said a spokesman.
