The first Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hawaii Golf Classic took place in 2000, and coordinators are now planning for the 14th annual golf classic set for March 6, at the Hilo Municipal Golf Course.
“Because of our loyal friends and supporters, we are continuing to grow and support educational, community and commerce/trade projects around the Big Island,” said a Chamber spokesman. “We sincerely appreciate all of the support you have provided us in the past, and once again, are asking for your continued support in making this year’s classic the best ever.”
The public is invited to kokua by tournament participation, donation of prizes, becoming a sponsor, or by simply volunteering time to help with the event.
The entry fee is $150 per person, including green/cart fees, lunch, lots of prizes and fun.
Businesses and individuals are asked to consider a donation of prizes for the winners. Favorites are gift certificates, merchandise and golf apparel or accessories.
