Hilo B&GC invites volunteers for Saturday cleanup
The Boys & Girls Club of the Big Island invites volunteers to assist at its garden and club cleanup day and potluck lunch event from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Hilo Club at 100 Kamakahonu St.
The county has funded a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in-the-garden program and the Hilo Club needs help clearing and preparing the ground for the youths to garden. Volunteers are also needed to clean the clubhouse.
Please wear covered shoes and bring any tools, gloves, paint brushes, drop cloths or trucks for hauling that you are able to share. Bring food for lunch.
