The Kahakai Neighborhood Organized Watch (KNOW) will host a holiday food drive to support The Food Basket, the Big Island food bank.
“We will be sharing from our plenty to assure our community has all the ingredients for a special holiday season,” said spokeswoman Suzan Thompson Forrest. “We welcome all donations of non-perishable items.”
Here is the schedule of drop-off points:
— Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Hawaiian Beaches County Park, off Kahakai Boulevard on Puni Makai North Loop at Mano Street, and
— Monday, Dec. 17, from 7 to 8:30 a.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 18, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the the 90-degree curve after Keonepoko School as you enter the Beaches Neighborhood.
