Executive Director of the Office for Social Ministry Carol Ignacio is awarded the 2012 Athena Award East Hawaii Businesswoman of the Year by University of Hawaii President M.R.C. Greenwood and the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce in Moanahoku Hall at ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center on Wednesday afternoon. Ignacio was also awarded the chamber’s “Pay it Forward” $500 cash prize to help support her in future endeavors with the community.
