Hospice offering adult grief support
Each Tuesday at 10 a.m., from April 1 to May 7, Hospice of Hilo will be sponsoring The Healing Journey, a free, six-week adult grief support group.
The class will combine group support, education and the development of coping skills, in a safe and confidential setting.
“Grief is often an unexpected and unwelcomed emotion in our lives. Exploring the process of grief can help us understand how it affects us and others around us,” said Hospice of Hilo Community Bereavement Counselor Cathy Hough. “The journey of grief is hard work and is often eased by the support of others.”
According to participant Carol Correa, “My spirits were down, my heart was weary but I found hope and faith with everyone I met. I enjoyed every moment of the six-week class. God bless Hospice.”
Call Hospice of Hilo at 969-1733 for more information and to register.
