Japanese Chamber’s 15th Taste of Hilo will be Oct. 20
The Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawaii will present its 15th annual A Taste of Hilo from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin Sangha Hall in downtown Hilo.
“Please join us for this fabulous and exciting array of some of the new, exotic, scrumptious cuisine prepared by Big Island’s local restaurants and businesses,” said a Chamber spokesman. “This year, we are featuring locally raised kampachi fish by Blue Ocean Mariculture, prepared by Chef Colin Nakagawa of Hilo Seaside Restaurant.”
The proceeds from the popular annual event support higher education through Hawaii Community College. Tickets are $45 in advance and $65 at the door, pending availability. Children under age 2 will be admitted for free.
