Kalia Kekela Wasson, a junior at Kamehameha Schools, will compete Sunday, Oct. 13, for the title of Miss Hawaii Teen USA in Honolulu. Wasson won the title of Miss Teen Lehua Hawaii 2013 at the Hilo Civic Auditorium, a pageant produced by Lehua Hawaii Productions. She will compete in the swimsuit, gown and interview categories. Directed by Alicia Michioka Jones and run by the Miss Universe Organization, the state winner will compete in the Miss Teen USA pageant. The 2013 national pageant was held at Atlantis, on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The state pageant will be televised at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, on KHON.
