New class focuses on politics as depicted in film

A class sponsored by the county Department of Parks and Recrestion features various aspects of politics and government in the United States as depicted in films.

The class began on Jan. 4 and continues each Friday until March 8. Films include “Primary Colors,” “Ides of March,” “Milk,” “Advise and Consent,” “All the President’s Men” and “Seven Days in May.”

The class meets at 1 p.m. Fridays at the Institute for Astronomy at 640 N. Auhoku Place in Hilo.
