Once again, eKnowledge invites Hawaii families to sign up for free copies of the SAT and ACT PowerPrep Programs. Valued at $200, the software is made available by a nonprofit alliance involving eight-time All-Star and 1995 World Series champ Chipper Jones of the Atlanta Braves and 20 other professional athletes from the NFL and MLB.
Now in its eigth year of the program, eKnowledge has donated more than 200,000 programs at a value of $40 million, said spokesman Michael McCracken, the school and press liaison.
“With a new school year, it’s a new group of juniors and seniors we can help. We just want to help any way we can,” said McCracken. “To get a copy of our donated software, go to: www.eKnowledged.com/HTH or call 951-256-4076 and reference Hawaii Tribune-Herald.”
“The SAT and ACT test season is here, and we can prepare your student for one of the most important tests they will ever take,” he said.
PowerPrep Programs include 11 hours of video instruction, practice tests, sample questions and over 3,000 files of supplemental test prep material. Students select the training they need and study at their own pace.
Annual support for the program comes from more than 100 NFL, MLB and corporate sponsors.
“I am grateful for the support I received from my family, coaches and teachers, when I was preparing for college. I know a good education is the single greatest predictor of success and that’s why I wholeheartedly support the eKnowledge SAT/ACT donation project,” said A.J. Hawk of the Green Bay Packers.
