Recycle Hawai‘i meets Saturday in Volcano Village
The nonprofit Recycle Hawai‘i organization’s annual membership meeting will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Volcano Art Center Niaulani Campus great room at 19-4074 Old Volcano Road in Volcano Village.
This year’s guest speaker will be state Sen. Russell Ruderman (2nd District – Puna/Ka‘u) who will give a legislative report focusing on the environmental health of the State of Hawaii. The public is invited to attend.
A call for volunteers will be going out for help with the grant Recycle Hawai‘i received from the state Department of Health to collect and recycle plastics and other marine debris arriving on our shorelines from the 2011 Japan tsunami. Nominations for open board of director positions will be accepted from the floor.
A potluck lunch will follow the business meeting coordinated by Recycle Hawai‘i Executive Director Paul Buklarewicz. For more information, call 969-2012, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.recyclehawaii.org.
