Rotary offers scholarship
The Pahoa Sunset Rotary Club announces that it will award the 2014 $5,000 college scholarship to a senior student from an area school. The Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation scholarship is funded through the Hawaii Rotary District 5000.
The scholarship is offered to an outstanding high school student who will be attending a four-year university or college in Hawaii or the U.S. mainland. The winner of the Pahoa Sunset Rotary Club award will go on to compete with other Hawaii District Rotary scholarship winners for a $10,000 scholarship.
The Pahoa Sunset Rotary Club encourages high school seniors in the Pahoa area schools to apply for this scholarship. Applications are available through the students’ high school counselors. Students with questions, please call Craig Watkins at 966-4072.
