Saturday is ‘Save Pohoiki’ day at free Pahoa festival
The community is invited to a special Save Pohoiki Community Festival from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Akebono Theatre in downtown Pahoa.
The program will feature a panel discussion — “Geothermal Issue and Updates” on the main problems relating to geothermal energy with former Mayor Harry Kim, Sen. Russell Ruderman, Robert Petricci and Suzanne Wakelin, Ph.D. Plus, “Alternative Energy” with Henry Curtis and Palekapu Dedman.
There will be live entertainment by Hiccup Circus and music by Kaliko Guys with Kalilo Kanaele, food and craft booths and keiki activities. The public is invited.
