September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. The Kona Hospital Foundation and Kona Community Hospital will welcome a guest lecturer, urologist Dr. Jim Nelson, who will speak on the topic, “The Prostate Gland Owner’s Manual,” a discussion on prostate and bladder health.
Everyone is invited to the program on Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Community Meeting Hale (Building G) at the West Hawaii Civic Center.
Admission is free. There will be lots of great information, handouts and giveaways, said Stephanie Kinsey, development officer for the Kona Hospital Foundation. Call 322-4587; visit www.khfhawaii.org.
