Woman celebrates 107 years

<p>HOLLYN JOHNSON/Tribune-Herald</p><p>Saramae Landers is greeted by family and friends during her 107th birthday celebration at the Palace Theater Wednesday afternoon. Nearly 100 family, friends and supporters attended the event that featured music and hula by Stan Kaina and Pi’ilani Rodrigues as well as congratulatory wishes from government officials and mayoral proclamation stating that Wednesday, April 10, 2013, be Saramae Landers Day in Hawaii County. When asked her if she has a secret to longevity, Landers said, “Take it one day at a time. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow isn’t here yet so enjoy today.
