Rainbow Falls is the site of a new coffee shop, which opened to the public on June 22. Country Coffee serves and sells speciality foods, gifts and artwork — all made on the Big Island.
“By promoting agricultural products from family farms, the shop is taking a boutique approach to the many products made on the Big Island that we take for granted or miss because we presume they will be too expensive,” said owner Christopher Kossowski. “Taking a social entrepreneurial approach, we bring in food products and items that are wholesome and organic, traditionally crafted and relevant, nutritious and flavorful.”
“A mainstay of the shop will be the classic lavosh cookies baked by Mr. Hanohano’s Rainbow Falls Connection, and we will be adding new menu items that cater to local workers and athletes who need the right kind of energy to power through long workdays.”
“With a proper kamaaina discount, the shop is offering the best prices on the Big Island and is also promoting the renewed mission of the Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council (HCEOC), also located at Rainbow Drive in Hilo,” said Kossowski. Visit www.country-coffee.com.
