HOLLYN JOHNSON/Tribune-Herald Claude Krause appears in Hilo District Court Thursday afternoon.
A preliminary hearing for two Kurtistown cousins accused of the late December homicide of a Hawaiian Acres man has been delayed.
On Thursday, Hilo District Judge Harry Freitas re-scheduled a preliminary hearing for 30-year-old Claude Keone Krause and 19-year-old Kawena Krause to Tuesday at 2 p.m.
The cousins are accused of second-degree murder and other charges in connection with the death of 44-year-old Dante Peter Gilman. Police say the Krauses were captured killing Gilman on the victim’s home video surveillance system.
The hearing was postponed to allow defense attorneys time to go through the evidence with their clients, including what Kawena Krause’s lawyer, Christopher Bridges, described as “hours of video footage.”
