Leche De Tigre — Hawaii Island’s Latin gypsy funk band — will perform with opening act Dan Brauer LDTrio in a “musical night of aloha” at the historic Honokaa People’s Theatre from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The concert will feature two sets of danceable, feel-good, original music from 10-piece band Leche De Tigre. The theater is at 43-3574 Mamane St.
Tickets are available in advance for $20 online at LDTband.com and locally from Taro Patch Gifts in Honokaa, Waimea Music Exchange, Little Paradise in Waime, and Kailani Surf Shop in Kailua-Kona. Tickets at the door will be $25.
This is a send-off concert prior to Leche De Tigre’s March 2013 tour of California, which includes dates in Santa Cruz, the San Francisco Bay Area, Santa Barbara and Lake Tahoe.
Visit Leche De Tigre’s website at www.LDTband.com. CDs of Leche De Tigre’s new live album, “Live at Aloha Theatre,” and shirts will be available at the show.
